About Why Corellr Insights

90-Day Cycle

A structured refresh every quarter, timed to your board cycle.

~3 Hours Per Quarter

Deliberately light-touch on your finance team's time.

Fixed-Fee Retainer

Billed quarterly or monthly, confirmed at proposal stage.

A financial model is only useful while it's current. Most organisations build a solid forecast once, then watch it quietly go stale as actuals drift away from assumptions, grant milestones shift, and the next board meeting arrives with numbers nobody fully trusts anymore. The Flight Check exists to stop that drift. Once every 90 days, we roll your actuals in, refresh your cashflow and grant tracking, and spend an hour with you stress-testing what's coming next, before your board needs the numbers.

How it works

Three phases, repeated every 90 days.

01

Model refresh

We bring in your trailing three months of actuals and reconcile the variance across actuals, budget, and forecast. Your rolling 13-week cashflow gets pushed forward to the next quarter, with grant milestones, funder reporting dates, and statutory obligations like BAS and superannuation updated. A fresh, locked budget snapshot is generated for the quarter ahead.

02

Strategic briefing pack

A one-page executive summary lands in your inbox ahead of the call, focused on three things: your minimum projected cash position over the next 13 weeks, upcoming grant acquittal deadlines and funding gaps, and the reserve threshold that needs to hold before any new commitment gets signed off.

03

The quarterly call

A structured session with you and, where relevant, your CEO or board treasurer, timed to land before your board meeting or quarterly reporting cycle. We stress-test one or two live scenarios together, whatever's actually on your mind that quarter, and agree on the baseline that gets locked in for the next 90 days.

What's included, and what isn't

The scope stays deliberately tight, so the fee stays predictable.

Rolling the model forward every 90 days

Actuals, budget, forecast and the 13-week cashflow, refreshed each quarter.

One 60-minute quarterly strategy call

Timed to land before your board meeting or quarterly reporting cycle.

Grant and statutory updates

Grant milestones, funder reporting dates, and payroll drivers kept current.

Light email support

Formula questions on the model, covered as part of the retainer.

One to two scenario stress-tests

Run live during each quarterly review call.

Not included: day-to-day bookkeeping

Invoicing, bill approvals, and transaction processing sit outside this scope.

Not included: operational meetings

Weekly check-ins or general staff meetings aren't part of the retainer.

Not included: ATO or funder correspondence

Direct dealings with the tax office or funders are handled separately.

Common questions

Is this the same as bookkeeping or ongoing accounting support?

No. This sits above the day-to-day. It's about keeping your forward-looking model accurate, not processing transactions.

What happens if something urgent comes up outside the quarterly cycle?

Light formula questions are covered by email. Anything bigger, like a major scenario rebuild, is scoped as separate work rather than folded into the retainer, which is what keeps the fee predictable for both of us.

Can this run alongside the AI Data Readiness Assessment or a system implementation?

Yes, and it often makes the most sense that way. Once your data's clean and your system's live, the Flight Check is what keeps the model built on top of it accurate quarter to quarter, and board-ready every cycle.

Do we need a certain size or maturity of finance function to make this worthwhile?

Not particularly. If you've already got a working forecast or cashflow model your board relies on, this keeps it honest. If you don't yet, this usually isn't the right starting point. The AI Data Readiness Assessment is a better place to begin.
